The page’s title is “Schedules” but the tab title is saying “Schedules Experiment”. That used to be the pages name, but we changed it at least three months ago.
I checked the page’s settings and the phrase “Schedules Experiment” doesn’t appear anywhere.
The page was never password protected.
I’m seeing the incorrect naming results on both Bing and Google, suggesting this is a site and not search engine issue.
Can’t think of anything else to do since I don’t have many options when it comes to setting the title. Any suggestions welcome!
Check the browser tab source (View Page Source → <title> tag) to confirm what’s actually rendering , sounds like the old title is still cached in the head. Had this happen on a client build where a hidden SEO setting overrode the page title. Clear site cache + republish usually fixes it.
Webflow does not offer that as a feature since whenever you publish that happens as part of the deployment. Your browser can always cache things which you can clear.
Your page settings appear to be correct, as the old title is not found anywhere on your site. This is most likely a result of search engine caching or indexing delays. Often, Google and Bing will hold the old metadata for weeks or even months.
There are a few steps to follow here:
Check the live title using “Inspect Element” in your browser or a tool like Google’s Rich Results Test; ensure the correct title appears in your HTML.
Resubmit the page for re-indexing via Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools — this often speeds up the process of updating.
Clear your caches/CDN (if you’re using Cloudflare or other caching plugins). Sometimes, the old cache can show outdated titles.
If you’ve recently changed the title, wait a little longer; search engines don’t update titles instantly.
Overall, your site setup seems fine - it’s just a matter of getting search engines to recrawl and update their version.
I’ve seen similar issues while working with clients on “digital marketing in Jalandhar”, and in most cases, reindexing plus cache clearing solves it faster.
