Sitemap doesn't get updated?

Hi all. Hope you’re doing well. I need to unindex some of the pages, like Merci. I found here that to do it I need to paste the add the code snippet in the [ code of that page]. I did it, and published website. But when I open my sitemap again I still see these pages. https://www.leadlion.ca/sitemap.xml

I use auto-geneerated sitemap, so it should updates at the moment I publish the website. Did I do something wrong? What can I do to update it? I published my website 3 days ago, should I wait more time to see the change?

Correct, you do not need to worry about the sitemap, it does not impact what is indexed by Google.
Once you have the noindex meta in your page, and have republished your site, you can use Google Search Console to request removal of that page to expedite the removal.
