How to Google Index CMS pages on Google for SEO?

I’ve been trying to figure out why my CMS pages aren’t getting indexed and don’t really have a reason why that’s happening. I’ve been creating another CMS page and am almost ready to publish with quite a few imported CSV’s but before I do I want to make sure that they are getting indexed by Google. Any ideas on things to look at or work on?

By the way I have tried manually indexing the pages and the error of “Sitemap is HTML, Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.” shows up. This may be the reason? I am unsure.

Sitemap file should be .xml

Under settings > SEO > Sitemap > Auto-generate Sitemap can be enabled.
If you haven’t done it already, you’ll need to verify the site first by including your Google Site Verification ID

I’ve had auto-generated Sitemap enabled prior. I setup Google Search Console via GoDaddy a while back so I didn’t add a Google site verification ID number. Would i need to recreate a Search Console account to make this indexed? @Port_of_Folio

Just republished with that verification ID number just in case. Any other thoughts to why every other page gets indexed but CMS dont?

Depends on lots of factors. Best place to learn them as it relates to Google is at > Documentation pour améliorer le SEO | Google Search Central  |  Google for Developers

Probably just taking a while.

You can fulfill SEO fields on you template page’s settings. Will help some.

Oh great call! Didn’t realize i hadn’t pulled Title tags in yet thanks for the catch.

So if someone is still looking for this, I’ve built a very simple service which does this (and more) for you automatically. It’s called RankWeek and it costs ~ 9$ to auto-index your pages.

In summary it takes your sitemap, it checks your search results (with the search console API) and decides if a page should be indexed or not.

I hope it helps!
