Aim: I would like to build internal backlinking between my blog posts. That is, I would like my blog posts to link to other blog posts on my Webflow site, using in-text anchors (blue underlined text that leads you to another web page when clicked upon). All my blog posts are part of the same CMS Collection /blog/blog-page
Problem: When I follow the below set of actions, I can only see some of the CMS pages.
CMS Collections > Blogs > Pick a Blog Page > Edit Post Body (rich text field) > Highlight text > Add link > Link Type: Page > Select a Page > Open dropdown > [Here I am supposed to find all the pages on my site but some are not visible]
Potential cause: I have 16 CMS collections with a total of 200+ items. Not everything fits in the dropdown?
200+ is nothing, and you should see all items.
Could be cache interference, or a browser plug-in interfering, or server-side issues.
In reality though it’s irrelevant, because the links form the same if you create them manually, like /blog/my-blog-post. It’s less convenient but works the same way.
Links in rich text content aren’t “bound” to the target in the same way that links created in the designer settings panel are.
If you use the rich-text linking tool and then change the target path, that link is broken. This is one of the reasons I think Webflow began automatically creating redirects when you change page slugs, as an added safety.
