How Can I Automatically Sync Webflow User Accounts with an External Database?

Hey everyone,

I manage a user database in Webflow where each user has custom fields—like their total spending in my store—that need to be updated regularly. Currently, I’m exporting all user data into Airtable, running a script to update the total spending, and then importing it back into Webflow so I can eventually display this data on each user’s page (I’m considering using SA5 | Sygnal Attributes for that).

My main goal is to automate this process. Ideally, I’d like to sync my Webflow user accounts with an external database (like Airtable) so that I can avoid the manual export/import steps. I’ve looked into tools like Memberstack, but it includes extra membership features I don’t need and is a bit too expensive since I’m already paying for Webflow.

Any suggestions or ideas on how to set this up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Unless this is a very short-term project, Webflow User accounts is being deprecated and will be gone in less than 1 year. I’d recommend you start building towards another solution.

In terms of syncing user accounts… I do think there’s a platform that supports that- check Whalesync and Byteline and Powerimporter Pro.

But research what that would mean when you migrate the user layer to e.g. Memberstack.
