Hello,
I am desperatly trying to make the cookie consent work. But somehow, I must be doing something wrong. Having to deal with GDPR third party apps within Webflow is so frustrating.
here is a very simplified version of the issue.
Here is a quick screen recoding of me not understanding what is up (password: hell)
Here is the live link to the website.
Best,
Anthony
Hi Anthony,
Since you’re using a .webflow.io URL, you can implement the Finsweet Components cookie consent banner without a paid plan. Here’s how to set it up:
- Open the Finsweet Components App in your Webflow project
- Navigate to the Cookie Consent section
- In the Setup dropdown menu, select “Full”
- Choose your preferred tracking default settings mode
- Publish your site
- Go to the Scripts tab and click “Rescan project” to confirm the implementation
Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
Hello @anthonysalamin,
yes so, just like the @WebflowAIModerator said, Finsweet cookie consent banner is now a paid component, it used to be a free but limited Attributes solution, you can test it for free on a webflow.io domain, but once you publish it on an actual domain you will see the actual script served to the users. I hope this helps.
Thank you @Pablo_Cortes ,
I do understand I need a paid plan for the app to work on a published site. However it is unfortunately absolutely not working even on a simple .webflow.io site.
The attribute seem to be missing in the published code eventhough it seems present in the designer as seen and explain in this new very short screen recording. (password: hell)
I appreciate any help
Hey @anthonysalamin, I think it is a cache issue on your end, I tested the published link and I got the console log and the correct script on my end
So either clear your cache and test again or test on an incognito window. I hope this helps!
