I thought it would make sense to turn the parent page into a folder, but I see that a folder cannot have the same slug. I’ve read that I need to create a folder first. Should I just create a new page and use the child slug above, “industry-construction”? What are my options?
A static page and a folder can have the same slug.
So can a static page and a collection page.
However a folder and a collection page cannot have the same slug, since the subpages within them can conflict.
I’ve not encountered that bug recently but if you are having problems, you could temporarily rename your static page slug, e.g. /industry1 then create your folder, then fix the slug on your static page.
Important if you do this, check your 301 redirects as Webflow may automatically create redirects there when you move a static page.
So, I have a collection page that I’ve created…and I want children under this, so I tried to create a folder. To your point, they cannot have the same slug, so I got stuck.
On my collection webpage, I wanted to include links to child pages + the collection itself. Is this just not possible and I need to treat a collection page as one thing that cannot have children?
