I’m a brand designer and I’m looking to make my own portfolio website. I’m not familiar with web development so don’t understand the descriptions of the site and account plans.
I’m gonna explain what I want/need, and if someone can tell me what is the optimal plan for me I would really appreciate it.
I have a .design domain, and I want Webflow to host the site.
I would like the site to have the main page with thumbnails for my projects, and another about/contact page.
I want the thumbnails to lead to a page where the project is expanded upon.
I don’t want Webflow branding on the site.
I want to be able to go in and add new projects as time goes on.
So, do I need the starter account with a basic site plan, or do I need some other combination?
Hi @mario_lukic, you only need the hosting plan, I’d suggest the CMS plan if you want to maintain alot of projects/case study. This will give you all the features you require.
^^ I agree. CMS is definitely going to be the way to go. It provides an easy way to manage your sites content to add new projects easily in the future. Let me know if you’d like any help building your website!
Another reason to get an account plan, beyond Free. is if you want to export the code. Which you don’t want to right now because you are hosting with Webflow. But you might want to in the future. I use it as a local backup, and so I can post the code anywhere if I need to.
But Webflow won’t export anything in the CMS if you need to use it.
I see others said you needed CMS, but I’m not seeing anything in what you said that requires it.
