Hi All, Thanks in advance.

I have seen in my dashboard that I need to update the domain DNS. I have done the CNAME not a problem but the A record update. Do I delete both webflow A records and add the new one or can I just update one of the existing records?

Hi Jason,

As part of Webflow’s DNS infrastructure update (April 9, 2025), your domain’s DNS records need to be updated. Here’s how to configure your DNS settings:

  1. Remove any existing A records from your DNS configuration
  2. Create a new A record with:
    • Hostname: @
    • Value: 198.202.211.1
  3. Ensure your CNAME record pointing to cdn.webflow.com remains in place

You can verify these settings are correct by checking Site settings > Publishing > Production in your Webflow dashboard.

You can either update one of your two existing A-records and delete the other or you delete both existing A-records and create a new one – either way works fine.

Depending on the TTL (time to live) that is set on the existing A-records (for example 4 hours) it can take up to 4 hours for the changes to take effect. Sometimes it can even take up to 48 hours (regardless of the TTL), so no need to worry if you see no effect at the beginning.
