I’m looking to build a site with two types of user created - a ‘writer’ and a ‘reader’…
The ‘writer’ will be able to sign up and complete a form before hitting save, which will then present the form content as a page of hard-coded text. They will be able to see a list of all pages they’ve written in a table view.
The ‘reader’ will also be able to sign up / log in, and will be able to see some of the pages of hard-coded content written by the writer, based on which pages the site admin allows them to view.
My question is, how is it possible to build this in Webflow, with two types of user group (is that what access groups are for?) and the ability for writers to create pages of content.?
Hey Ben! In case you are still looking, the content creation part of this is now possible with Supersparks, which allows users to create new pages of rich text content through the Webflow CMS:
Supersparks integrates with Memberstack, Outseta, and Webflow Memberships, so when a user generates content, data from their profile gets displayed with their content. As mentioned, you would probably need to use one of these membership tools to setup page and element gating for the different user types. Let me know if you have any questions :).
