Unable to embed SproutVideo

When I drop in a video element and add a url to a SproutVideo (supported according to the documentation) the screen just goes a full blank grey when it is entered and I need to reload the page.

Similarly, if I try to add a SproutVideo in a Rich text collection field it is noted the url is invalid.

Edit: Help? Anyone?

Thanks for sharing. I tested the video link in a rich text field and it appears to work as expected: Image 2018-10-05 at 2.55.26 PM

I also tested with an embed using the iframe code you provided:

It appeared to load as expected once I added https: to the src URL.

I’m happy to look into the embed issue as well — can you let me know what page and section you are working on?

Interesting. Totally works for me now in the rich text. Was not accepting the url the other day.

However, if I go to a page and add a video element, after I enter the url I still get a grey screen:

Thanks for sharing that! I did some extra testing on this end and it looks like the sproutvideo works:

• in a rich text field (cms)
• in a rich text element (static)
• in an <iframe> inside of an embed

But it doesn’t work in the video element.

I’ve reported this to the team and we’ll check into the designer crash. For now, can you please use one of the above methods to add your video to the project? I’ll post back here with more details when I have them.

We recently shipped a fix for an issue there was when embedding certain videos, however, when trying to get to your video, it seems like the link no longer exists.

Please let me know if there is any other sprout video link that we can help you with, we’ll be happy to help
