Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi @avivtech, thanks for your post. I am not seeing the trouble on this end:

Is the issue still happening on your end? If so, As a next step, I would recommend to check that the browser is running the latest updates, and to see if there are any browser extensions loaded that might be conflicting with the Webflow browser code.

A good way to check if browser extensions are conflicting, is to open the browser in Incognito mode (in Chrome) or Private Window mode (in Safari) and reload the site in the designer.

It may be helpful to check to see if your local browser cache is disabled in the browser that is used with the designer.

This will help to force a re-download of latest page changes when those are made, as opposed to pulling from local browser cache.

See here as an example step by step to disable browser cache in Chrome: https://www.technipages.com/google-chrome-how-to-completely-disable-cache

And for Safari: https://www.technipages.com/apple-safari-completely-disable-cache

Thanks in advance

Hi @hoanggiang12 & @avivtech,

Thanks for contacting us about this, this definitely sounds like odd behavior.

I tried reproducing this behavior on my end but was unable to.

Would you be able to provide your Read-Only link? I would be happy to take a look for you.

Thanks in advance, and I’ll be standing by to test for you.

Here is a new project I created for this bug
It seems that it is possible to change IDs, but not to delete them completely.

Hi @avivtech,

Thanks for the Read-only link, as it was very helpful.

I was able to create a clone of your project, and reproduce what you’re experiencing.

This definitely sounds like odd behavior, and so I’ve gone ahead and notified our engineers about this issue.

Though I do not yet have a timeline of when the fix will be available, I will definitely let you know as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance for you patience :bowing_man:

Yes!!! I went through and deleted 50 ids only for them to still be there. Coulda save lots of time if I knew you couldn’t delete id’s. Arg. Strange since you can delete everything else. Desperately awaiting a solution!

Oh… so that’s why… nevermind but yeah. This is how it is currently. You can delete the object with the unnecessary id and then just create the same kind of element and give it the same class so that it has no id. Not the ideal solution obviously.

Same issue here. Can’t delete an ID. Just overwrite.

Hi @wedo @dram @cyberlisa @avivtech @hoanggiang12

Thank you all again for your patience and help with this.

Our team was able to isolate the issue and we just deployed a fix for it. :tada:

You should now be able to remove IDs as expected.

Yes you can definitely expect it to be resolved, although I can’t provide an exact time frame for you.
