A new user of Webflow’s Editor on my team got confused when they set up field references in the SEO title/description, yet the “Preview” above those fields did not align with the current CMS item they had clicked into (thought they were editing).
This may be intentional by design so the user does not believe they need to click into the settings of each CMS item’s page, but it might be clearer to have the demo start off by showing the page of the item they specifically selected. I am referring to the “Search Result Preview” found here after adding fields:
This would communicate that the variable was successfully used to place the item they initially began editing into the SEO title or body. I also think you’d benefit the user’s understanding of variables in the Editor by making the next & previous arrows more prominent. These subliminal things:
