Simple Photography Portfolio Issue - Webflow Begginer

Hi,

I am a complete beginner to Webflow - I currently use Square Space to build/host my photography portfolio site but after getting increasingly frustrated with its rigidity I am starting to build my site with Webflow.

The first and main issue I have run into is implementing images to my site. As you can see on my Square Space site I use a simple layout of an image centre page which when clicked then changes to the next image within the given series of work you are viewing, running you through the photo series by clicking - simple right?

This layout will stay exactly the same throughout my Webflow site, only the image content will change based on the work you are viewing.

I am not sure how to approach building this with Webflow as currently I can only see single images or a lightbox which makes the image full screen which I do not want.

I want to reiterate that I want to copy my Square Space site exactly (creative changes coming later when the base site is built).

What you’ve built is closest to a slider UX, but without left and right arrows, and with only the ability to advance forwards. You might look into using swiper JS- I don’t think I’ve seen it configured for “advance on click” but you might be able to.

Or just create your own setup.

In Webflow that would be a collection list with up to 100 photos in it, plus a small piece of JS to handle the click event, and the show/hide as you advance through the deck.
