I’m editing a client’s site, and the style/settings/interactions window overlaps my canvas. I stretched my browser window so I could finally see the sites in full, but there has to be a better way to adjust this. See photos. How can I fix this?
If you’re designing a large site on a small monitor this will be an issue. I generally find it an issue when I am designing something larger in Webflow (like a 1920x1080 display screen for example).
Try using zoom functions on your browser to zoom out (eg. Ctrl/Cmd -) as a workaround. Hope this helps.
I don’t believe that’s it as I have always had three 32 inch monitors and the webflow canvas was always centered. It has to be a new setting in webflow or something.
Well shoot. Glad to know it’s not Webflow. Looks like I’ll be going down the rabbit hole to figure out the browser issue or screen issue. lol Thank you Craig for taking a look at it.
No problems - Site looks great, also if you get a chance in the future you could investigate using a collection list for the homes as opposed to individual static pages - makes content management and ongoing maintenance much easier, and open up some other design opportunities.
Yes it’s obviously a zoom related issue within Chrome. Perhaps try clearing your cache in Chrome, and resetting your browser zoom to 100% if it’s not already (Ctrl/Cmd + 0).
Jeff’s saying to ignore it. There is no “two panel layoutsetting”.
On the left panel you can click the pin icon at the top right of the panel to make it sticky v. overlay.
Glancing at your screenshot, I’d guess your problem is here- note the 82.5%. Click that and check your settings, reset anything to 100% and see if it fixes your zoom issue.
Thanks for the reply Michael. I currently have it set at 100% and the right panel overlaps the canvas. It has to be a Chrome issue as when I open this is Safari, it’s fine.
So interesting that none of us are experiencing it through the readonly.
I didn’t notice it in the thread, but have you cleared your browser cache and disabled extensions? Something seems to be affecting the way the page renders and those would be the most likely causes. Very interesting.
Try the Webflow support bot too, something like “The designer canvas is overflowing and obscured by the right-side style panel”. I bet you’re not the first to encounter this so it’s almost certain support has seen this before.
