Request: Custom domain email addresses for Webflow packages

I’m sorry if this is answered somewhere and I just can’t find it.

I am really getting into the flow (hehe) of building out sites in Webflow and I absolutely love it. I’ve even gone back and redesigned a couple sites for clients for free just because of how much of a joy it is to use this tool.

So my question is basically the subject but a bit more as well. If I begin bringing clients under the Webflow hosting umbrella, what am I looking at in terms of email addresses? Can I transfer email addresses that already exist elsewhere, along with their current emails?

That’s all I can think of for now.

Are you referring to the email addresses that will be contacted when a form is submitted?:grinning::blush::+1:

I’m referring to email addresses attached to the domain.

contact@yourdomain.com
Steve.Stevenson@yourdomain.com

etc.

No, you’d need an external email domain provider

I was afraid that would be the case. Doesn’t make much sense to move sites over to Webflow-based hosting, then.

ONE DAY I will use cPanel for the last time. Today, is not that day.

zoho apps offers free email hosting with your domain. They are similar to google apps and offer imap support as well as browser web apps for email.

Put it on the wishlist, you’ve got my vote +1 :grinning:

We’re currently looking at integrating Google apps into the “flow” - what % of your clients need email support from you?

All of them. I can’t think of a single client that I would allow to use a non-branded account. I will sometimes route through Gmail for spam suppression, but I’d sooner punch myself in the face than put a Gmail or Yahoo account on a business card.

Although I think many people would love to have email included, it is easily done now if you own your own domain name. And if you have access to the Google Apps as an administrator. If you buy the domain with Webflow, then sure, integration with Google Apps is very much desired.

For me, and some clients, a file-storage & file-upload functionality (through front-end & CMS) is more desired then email.

In my experience hosting web content and hosting email is done separately.

Is cost the reason to bundle it? Because the clients are small?
