Hi! I’m back again with another domain question.
We currently have a .co domain hosted on wix. We’re launching .ai as our new domain with webflow but want all the original .co links to redirect to their corresponding new .ai pages. Is this possible to do using 301 redirects in Webflow?
This is still pretty new to me so thank you for any guidance on this.
Hi Becca, you’d do this in two parts;
Domain-level redirects
Add both domain names to Webflow and then make www.newdomain.ai the default domain. In that configuration any requests to your old .co will just be redirected to the same path on the .ai domain.
Path-level redirects
If the paths are changing for some pages, you would also add a set of 301 redirects. Since it’s a basic site migration and not a site merge ( where there can be path conflicts ) it should be pretty straightforward.
