A question about redirects

Hi all

This might seem like a silly question but would appreciate some quick guidance. I am in the process of finishing off a new website designed with webflow. MY client wishes to use their old domain name. Would this be a simple case of updating C and A records with their registrar?

I see info on redirects but i get the feeling 301s are for single pages where as we need to redirect the old url to a completely new webflow site

It’s really not clear what you are doing. Is it newdomain.com redirect to oldname.com? If so configure dns for oldname.com and redirect newdomain.com to oldomain.com at a registrar

The registrar should have a permanent domain level redirect option meaning you won’t need to touch dns.

Webflow redirects are for dealing with pages/ folders that don’t exist anymore.
