Problems with sitemap.xml in Google Search Console

When publishing websites, i have come across a recurring issue with submitting sitemap at google serach console, couple of websites published recently have same issue —
Sitemap could not be read (status: couldn’t fetch)
General HTTP error

We encountered an error while trying to access your sitemap. Please ensure that your sitemap is present at the specified address and is not blocked to Google.

Resubmitting sitemap url was unsuccessful.

Maybe Webflow stuff can comment this issue? I was thought that issue came with dns updates?

Are you certain you’re submitting the correct URL?

Make sure to paste it into a browser first and ensure it resolves redirects, e.g. http://domain.com to https://www.domain.com

Yes, all correct.

https://www.nimbojet.aero/sitemap.xml

I’ve seen this error in the past in GSC, not specific to Webflow. Typically a simple resubmit sorts it out and GSC proceeds as usual.

The only case where I’ve seen it stuck is when an http: URL is used instead, which GSC won’t accept due to the redirect and likely the lack of security as well. Google is averse to promoting http: sites now.

If you’re sure you’re submitting correctly, and can’t get past it, I’d recommend you turn off ad blockers etc, with GSC, but when you’re stuck Webflow support is your next step.
