No device breakpoints per tag?

Am I missing something or is it in fact not possible to set different styles per breakpoint for elements?
Concretely I’d simply like to have H1 be smaller on mobile. Of course I can create a “Heading 1” class myself but that’s a bit redundant.

Most designers create a style guide page with all the common elements in one place. That would include base elements like h1, h2, h3 etc… which you can style in the designer per breakpoint without classes being added.

There is a page in the Webflow University that I recommend you review if you haven’t.
It should help you resolve your issue.

Thanks, but the style guide page didn’t contain anything new. When I tweak a tag in a breakpoint Webflow just automatically creates a class. It’s ok, there’s no big problem with that. Better UX would be if Webflow would show two pink lines

  • :computer: All H2 Headings.
  • :iphone: All H2 Headings

To put it a bit more extremely: the whole video is irrelevant as soon as you want to have different font sizes per device breakpoint.

If you work for Webflow it would be nice if you could turn this into a feature request / UX bug report.

Before styling an element, goto inheritance and select the “All H2 Headings” for example. Then modify the style for that element across all pages of your site. Changes you make at different breakpoints will apply.
