New and learning about site transfer

I am developing a site for a client using a free workspace and starter plan and I have a question.

1. From what I am reading when I upgrade a specific client site to a paid plan on my workspace during development I can “deliver/transfer” that site with a new paid plan to my client giving them control of the site and account keeping the paid plan intact for the client when the site is ready. Is this correct?

2. I am unsure how much development I will do in the future, so I am not planning on paying for a freelancer or agency plan yet.

  1. Yes, it’s known as seamless transfers. The site plan and domain can travel with the site, to a new workspace. I think it works best with the client payments feature, but should work without it as well.
  2. That’s fine, but you’ll need to buy a site plan early on each project then, so you have access to the full design-time feature set.
