Need advise on my custom domain setup

I think I have a mess on my hands with my custom domains and need some advice. Here is what happened.

I was using the domain jlcturfandsnow.com. My client then got out of the snow business. I then redesigned the website for just turf care services using www.jlcturfservices.com.

I setup a redirect in my godaddy account so everything would go to the new domain jlcturfservices.com. I also set up redirects in my webflow account. I was worried that I would loose a lot of link juice/rankings and I did.

So now in my webflow site I have two domains set up, jlcturfservices.com and jlcturfandsnow.com. When I do a search for my customers services the old website still comes up. It has been a month or so and the new domain is not coming up much.

What is the correct way to get this site setup correctly so I can get back our search rankings.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

Under your site settings, update your canonical to the new domain name. Currently it’s pointing to the old one.

Make sure to setup a Google Search Console account under the new domain name, register your sitemap, etc. From there it’s just a waiting game, for Google to update it’s index.
