Link the User and Ecommerce sections to access orders and special prices

Hello.

I’m creating an e-commerce site for a customer via Webflow. I love this tool but it’s the first time I’ve used it for e-commerce and there are a few problems.

On my site, a person registered as a user with the User function should be able to have new prices (like -20% on all website because registred Users are Pros). Is this possible? Do I have to recreate all the pages with restricted user access? Is there a way to view the history of e-commerce orders in the user account management panel? Or are they really two separate things today? Time is running out on this front. I’m coming up against some technical issues that mean I feel I’m getting stuck on some of my customer’s requests.

Thanks for all your help! I look forward to hearing from you!

Bye !

Currently the only connection between User Account and ECom is the membership subscription feature- where you can purchase a recurring subscription and it will give that user access to a specific set of access groups, which governs their content access.

There isn’t any order history access, etc.

I suppose you could setup products with specialized pricing, and then list those products on user-group-specific pages, but it would be confusing to orchestrate and will likely require some custom coding to tie it together.

Most designers with your req’s either;

  • Use Foxy .io which has user accounts, discount codes, etc and integrates well with Webflow
  • Design the site in Webflow and then export it as a Shopify theme so that they can get Shopify’s full feature set

Thanks for your reply. It is very clear. I’m very disappointed with the e-commerce features at the moment. I struggled for a few hours with the import of products and this same import doesn’t allow you to update the list, only to add products, it’s very tedious.
I’m going to try to transfer my webflow as a Shopify theme, but I don’t know anything about it, I hope I’ll succeed!

I think this is the most popular path at the moment- I haven’t tried it though.
