Hello,
I’m having some issues with indexing my new site on Webflow. I have a pretty decent understanding of SEO, but this problem is new to me and I’m not sure how to solve it.
- Original website was built on Wordpress. Domain hosting is currently on GoDaddy.
- The Google Search Console property was set up using the non-www URL, “https://kararenninger.com”.
- Switching over to Webflow, I had to make the “https://www.kararenninger.com” the default publishing URL.
- I made sure to set up the proper canonical tag URL, + ensured my site’s auto sitemap generator was set to on.
- Google Search Console is accepting my sitemap, but it’s having issues with my robots.txt and won’t index my website, because it’s looking for the non-www version of the site, even with the steps followed on the back-end.
Has anyone ever encountered this issue and resolved it? All explanations online are telling me different things, It’s driving me crazy. I’m worried about performance dips and I want to get this fixed as soon as possible. Do I need an entirely new Search Console property?
