When I copy and paste an image from a Google Doc to Webflow and click the wrench icon to adjust its size, the tab freezes.
I have to close the tab and launch Webflow CMS again.
Same case with GIFs. Before the last week, I was able to copy/paste a GIF from Gdocs and adjust its size while the GIF played.
Now, when I do this, an image appears and freezes when I click the wrench icon.
I suspect the issue is related to the size calculation feature in the image properties popup box.
Note than both myself and my freelance tried on different browsers, different computers.
Anyone had the same issue?

The wrench icon freezing issue is often related to browser extensions interfering with Webflow’s functionality. Browser extensions like Grammarly, Ghost Inspector, and Adblockers can conflict with Webflow’s interface. To resolve this:
- Open Webflow in an incognito/private browsing window to test if the issue persists
- If the problem doesn’t occur in incognito mode, review and temporarily disable your browser extensions
- Re-enable extensions one by one to identify which one causes the conflict
- Either keep the problematic extension disabled while working in Webflow or find an alternative extension

We ran into this on a client blog , pasting from Google Docs pulls in extra formatting that clashes with the image editor. Upload the image/GIF directly to the CMS instead of pasting, or paste into a plain-text editor first to strip the hidden styles.

I just tried using Safari, that doesn’t have a single extension. Same freezing problem.
