Is there a way to add comments to your code in Webflow to make it easier to read after export?

Not really… You can use the Custom Code widget to add HTML comment but they will be wrapped into the widgets’ div.

Also takes up space in the design layout, so it’s not ideal.
You can hack the custom attributes to add comments but it’s kind of dirty:

would be a nice new light feature though!

Not only for checking after export, but in the designer too. I’d like a Note field for interaction triggers 
to add a decription for later.
