Hosting my main domain at Webflow and a subdomain elsewhere

Hi peeps,

I have built a website with Webflow and successfully published it.

My team and I are building an app for the website which will be built in Google Cloud Platform. We have created a subdomain from my domain host called “app” and successfully connected the DNS settings to be routed to Google.

When we connected the subdomain, my regular domain stopped working. The Webflow site could no longer be reached and I get the following error from Webflow: “You’ll need to remove the AAAA record from your DNS settings to ensure your site loads properly.”

I have spoken to my domain host and they told me that this is an issue from Webflow’s site and they cannot do anything about it.

Any advice on this?

Its possible to host a subdomain else where so it is likely the issue is a misconfiguration of your DNS settings.
