Webflow and Azure

I built a website for a client that is using Azure as their DNS server. I’m not very well versed in DNS settings. The proxy-webflow.com cname isn’t clearing. It did for a while over the weekend and published, but I got the dreaded “your connection is not private” message on the website. I’ve unpublished the site for now. I don’t have access to the Azure account. What can I tell them to do to correct this?

Hi there!

When configuring DNS records in Azure for your Webflow site, you’ll need to set up different records depending on whether you’re dealing with the root domain or subdomains:

For subdomains:
Create a single CNAME record pointing to:

For the root domain:
Create two A records with these IP addresses:

  • 75.2.70.75
  • 99.83.190.102

Note: Some DNS providers in Azure may require you to add a trailing dot at the end of CNAME records (e.g., proxy-ssl.webflow.com.).

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.

What’s the domain?

My first guess is that you were fine, if you had set the DNS settings properly- but that the SSL cert had not provisioned yet.

That can take up to an hour after the domain is added.

There is no proxy-webflow.com CNAME setting in any configuration I’ve seen so check your settings carefully.

sorry, I meant proxy-ssl.webflow.com. It’s been 5 days, so there has been plenty of time. I added the read-only link in original post.

The readonly link is not useful here, you’re dealing with a DNS issue.
