Google did not choose the same canonical URL as the user

Hello everyone,

I am having issues to index my homepage on Google. The search console says that I have duplicated content on my site and the crawler picked up the http version of my homepage instead of the https version. Why do I have an http version of my website ? Do I need to 301 redirect ? Is it a sitemap issue ?

Here is the issue on the search console :

The sitemap :

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Additionally, I have tried to set a www and non www URL as the default canonical URL , did not work.

Could someone ,who knows something about this issue, or has encountered it in the past, kindly enlighten me on the subject please.

Thank you very much !

Your canonical should be set to-

Without the trailing slash.

However it looks like there is also something going on regarding your sitemap, as it appears to be trying to pull one from a different domain ( Iā€™d re-submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and just wait a week to see if it clears up.
