If I accepted the cookies and then reload the page, the cookies are kicked out and are denied. I don’t have the problem on browsers like Chrome, Safari or Edge but on Firefox. On Firefox I made shure that in the settings I allowed all cookies. It also seems, that on Firefox after accepting the cokies it immediately reloads the page. Not sure if it reloads the page before it saves the fs-cc cookie. I also don’t know how to check the value of the fs-cc since it’s kryptic.
I did some further investigations and to me it appears, that finsweet cookie consent is buggy on Firefox. I made a brand new testsite and cloned the cookie consent components from Finsweet to the project. I added the skript for opt-out and did nothing more.
When I now reload the page, all the set preferences will be kicked out. The behavior is even funnier if you set one preference and deny the others. If you then push accept and reload the site and open up the preferences manager again it will have inverted all the settings. Totally weird. I will have to find an other cookie consent solution.
That is unfortunate and if Finsweet does not support that browser (or any other) it should be clearly stated on the documentation page before people take the time to implement it. @JoeKrug
@Angelo_Gramatica1 - I use it bundled with Terrmageddon as I offer that with my managed hosting services. You might want to investigate Cookie Consent by Termly | Create a Free Consent Banner as it is a reliable service that offers a free tier for under 10k banner views and $10 for up to 100k.
