Empty state is showing on the production front office but there are items in the list

Hi !

I’m trying to integrate a multi-reference field into a CMS template to display alternative products to the current one.
I’ve managed to do it and it now displays the correct items on the design tools. However, on the published website, only the empty state is visible, no matter the product I choose.

Any idea on how I could solve it myself?

Hi there,

When items are visible in the Designer but not appearing on your published site, this usually indicates a caching or publishing issue. Here are the steps to resolve this:

  1. Unpublish and republish your site from your site settings
  2. Clear your browser cache
  3. Check your Collection template page publish settings by going to the Pages panel, hovering over the Collection template page, clicking the settings cog, and ensuring the publish toggle is switched “on”

Hi Julie, currently these items are all “draft changes.”
Webflow recently made a change where any edit to a published CMS item will change it to draft changes, which;

  • Hides it from all collection lists
  • Keeps the CMS collection page visible, but in its pre-edit state

You’ll want to go into each item and “publish now”.
