I’m working on a restaurant website and working on their “menu” page. I have multiple collections set up and it’s displaying properly in designer and preview mode. But the live (staging) site displays “No items found”. Weirdly, the first collection displays one item. (Staging site:Menu)
I tried creating a new collection item and connecting that to the collection but it provides the same result.
Is there something i’m missing? Thanks in advance!
Hi Ryan, currently these items are all “draft changes.”
Webflow recently made a change where any edit to a published CMS item will change it to draft changes, which;
Hides it from all collection lists
Keeps the CMS collection page visible, but in its pre-edit state
You’ll want to go into each item and “publish now”.

Not at all- it’s a recent design change WF made that bites my team constantly too.
It’s a ton of extra work but any time you make an edit through the designer on CMS-bound content, make sure you’re aware of what items exactly you’re affecting. If you edit collection list content especially, you’ll need to track down all of those draft changes items.
I’m not certain why draft changes items are “partially published”- where the collection pages still show the previously published content, but the items disappear from collection lists. I suspect the Webflow team is gathering info and thinking through the design approaches hard before they fix anything.
Hey @memetican - have you noticed this behaviour even after you’ve published a collection though?
I’ve noticed it a couple of times where I’ve made changes to CMS collection items, staged them all of publish and then published the site to staging. The designer and published site still show the empty state and other items aren’t updating.
Tried saving them all as drafts again then selecting all and hitting “publish now” and then I’ll publish to staging and refreshing the designer, but still nothing. Just getting empty states.
I’ve had this behaviour a couple of times since WF made their CMS updates recently. Not sure if I’m missing something or if it’s a bug!
