Hello!
My client brought it to my attention that they can’t edit some text whenever there is a background image on the section. The editor doesn’t seem to want to switch from the bg image to the text to be able to edit.
I’ve checked all these sections and confirmed that the z-index and placement of the text is above the bg in each section.
The only work around I have for it right now is pressing the change image button, canceling the open dialogue box and that allows you to edit the text boxes over top.
To look more about a specific section go to the /home-editor page and scroll to the third section that currently starts with “Hi, I’m Adam…”
Anyone have any better ideas for a client that constantly edits and isn’t super tech savvy?
This is very irritating issue. When CSS layer settings are set in the correct order, the editor should behave accordingly. Removing editor permissions is not a solution. The shortcomings of the editor drive me more and more using the CMS for ordinary (static) pages…
ctrl-click on the text element, then left-click and click on edit symbol top right of text element to edit text. I find selecting text in a rich text element on the same page (when available) has te same effect as the first two actions. It’s hack or a workaround, but it does the trick.
