It has been almost 8 weeks, since the drag and drop functionality doesn’t work anymore in the editor.
After two images I have to refresh the editor and I’m unable to drag and drop more images. Now I have to uplaod the images one by one, which is really annoying and time consuming.
No issue with my environments. Could not replicate.
Tested on Win 10 Pro / Chrome 76.0.3809.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Please provide details about your browser, browser version, and OS. I also suggest making sure there is not a pending update that is waiting to be applied on your browser. That causes issues sometimes. You can also test with a private (icognito) session.
Work is outside my network. And it seems a bit to much, I would like to solve the problem but it feels like I’m bugtesting it right now instead of Webflow people.
Start watching at 7:00, there you can see that we are not able to drag images into webflow, if you look before 7:00 you can see that it is working a little bit.
Screenshot from console let us show javascript errors, where an ID cannot be found as an attribute of an element. I guess the element is not getting appended or is removed by the DOM. You can also see that it is trying to call the drop function.
I suggest you share your read-only project on your initial post. Then open a ticket with Webflow and reference this topic URI. I moved the ticket to BUGS to help you get visibility.
I will say that I never try to drag assets from Explorer to the canvas. I always open the asset panel, drag them there, then from that to the designer canvas.
Things you will probably be asked;
Have you tried incognito mode?
Also what is the max size of the files you are attempting to upload?
FYI: I tested dragging in 6 images to the designer asset panel via WorldStream B.V. in the Netherlands and had no issue. Same Browser / build / OS.
