Domain transfer to Webflow and Gmail business email

Hi,

I want to move away from Hostgator to Webflow. Domain register is Godaddy.

My issue is that I have a business email setup with Gmail. So instead of name@gmail.com, I have name@mydomain.com

I remember vaguely that I had to upload some weird files to Hostgator, so that Google could verify the ownership. But this was years ago, and I don’t remember what I have to do.

Questions:

  1. So what happens to my Gmail when I ask GoDaddy to point to Webflow, instead of Hostgator?
  2. Can I be locked out from my email?
  3. what exactly do I need to do to avoid any issues?

I cannot afford being locked out from my gmail as some 2step verification services work through that.
