Different design per category in a collection list

Hello, for a new website I have a CMS with 3 kind of collections (categories): events, news and testimonials.
I would like to combine them on one page with a Isotope filter. I’ve cloned this Webflow site:

I understand how this works with a ‘Reference field’ for the categories. This page only show one CMS collection. But I like to show multiple collections.

And: how can I design a different card per category? For example: all cards with category ‘events’ must be red, the cards with category ‘news’ must be blue, etc.
