For the past month, I’ve been getting connection errors all the time while I’m in the Designer. Like, almost constantly. Usually it’s just here and there, random connection errors, and everything is fine after I refresh. But sometimes, it persists for hours, and it will only work intermittently in those periods, so I usually give up.
Sometimes, it’s not “connected” to save changes, but I can navigate my project and edit all the pages, and I can even publish the changes to my domain even though I can’t save changes in the Designer. Today, I can only see/edit some of my pages. When I click on some pages from the top bar navigator, the page gives me the spinning wheel for 30 seconds, then sends me back to the page I was initially on. I can edit content in those pages, but the changes don’t save (obviously).
As of right now, I don’t know of any other way to reconnect without refreshing the page, which results in all the changes I’ve made since my last save being lost. I usually don’t get a notification about the connection error until I’ve been making changes for 20+ minutes, so I’m losing tons of work every day.
I’m on WiFi on iMac. I have a solid fiber connection, and I don’t have any other connection issues on this computer or any other devices on the network. I was using Safari, but I switched to Chrome hoping that would resolve the issue. If anything, it’s gotten worse on Chrome, and today it just won’t connect at all.
Anybody have an idea of what could be causing the connection to drop? The only thing I can think of is my wifi dropping for a second or two, and then Webflow can’t re-establish a connection without a hard refresh. If that’s the case, then this is something that needs to be fixed ASAP because refreshing the page and losing work is an untenable way to handle connection issues.
