CMS collection with potentially 100,000+ items

I‘m planning to create a site that, in a year’s time, might potentially end up having 100,000+ items. So, I have two questions:

  1. How would Webflow handle so many CMS items, performance-wise?

  2. Is there a way to only purchase additional CMS items? Because the site will be extremely lightweight, having only 1 CMS collection, so paying for the Enterprise would be an overkill.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Check the Business plan pricing, you can purchase additional items but I believe it’s only up to a max of 20k item.

You’d need to go Enterprise, or to use an external CMS and integrate that.

The business plan allows up to 20,000 CMS items, which I will easily reach. Going with an external CMS would defeat the purpose of using Webflow in the first place. I guess I‘ll contact them and see if they have a neat solution to this.

Hey, did you find a solution to this? I am working on a project that would require a million CMS items ultimately.

No chance. We moved out at 10k.

@Waqar_Naqshbandi According to Webflow’s docs, enterprise plans can do 100k items ( 2022 announcement ). I’ve heard rumors it’s capable of much more now, talk to support if you need more.

The engineering team has been doing a lot to upscale the CMS.

Scale your CMS to 10,000 items — and (way) beyond | Webflow Updates

And how does their bill look like at 100k items?

Just to get a full picture here.

Have you asked? None of my Enterprise clients have needed a CMS that large yet- most are heavy on locales instead.

But for the right client + project, it’s Pretty cool to have 100k+ capacity fully integrated in the designer, with localization support, etc.
