Can't open the Color Picker when using gradient

Gradient color picker doesn’t open, then I click on color. I have this problem almost 1 year! And many people in this forum ask this. When will it be fixed?

Browser Version: Chrome 52.0.2743.82 m (64-bit) http://whatsmybrowser.org/b/FTX71A4
OS: Windows 8.1
Example from November 2015: http://screencast.com/t/GJ1g5YAf4lYF

Can’t reproduce. When you select the Add Gradient option, double click the color tab for each gradient point and the color picker opens.

I do this and it does not work. :frowning:

Hey @Eka do you have any browser extensions running?

Can you please try the following:
(1) Try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode: Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help
(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: Chrome DevTools - Chrome Developers

Was just going to suggest what Waldo said, incognito mode, and then what console errors are appearing when you double click the gradient color tab.

@Eka which site are you having this issue occur on? Do you have any custom code on the site?

without custom code.

Hey @Eka could you please try restarting your computer and making sure that Webflow is the only tab/app that’s running within your Chrome browser? It looks like your machine may be getting overloaded and many processes running.

@Waldo It did not help :disappointed_relieved:

@Waldo is it incurable? :frowning: This problem also have on my laptop.

Hey @Eka do you have any browser extensions running? If so, can you please try deactivating those extensions and then re-launching Chrome? Also, are you on a touch screen device? If so, can you please try disabling the touch-screen feature?

@Waldo

It did not help(

No.

Hi @eka I took a peek at your video but noticed it is dated at November 11 2015. Can you send me a recently updated video, screenshot, or gif showing the broken UI?

I’ve tried to reproduce the error on a variety of machines/browser combinations and no dice. Any help here is appreciated! Thanks

Hi) I recorded that video August 28, 2015, when I sent it to support.
Here is a new video, nothing has changed.

Thanks for the updated recording! It looks like your machine/browser is processing super slowly for some reason - the Designer should be performing 10x faster than what is shown in your vid.

Can you please try the following:
(1) Try to open the color picker while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode: Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help
(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: Chrome DevTools - Chrome for Developers

I also noticed you have an adblock extension running - this has caused problems for me in the past. Can you try removing it and seeing if the behavior changes?

I deleted Adblock, but it seems it is unrelated to the problem.

I talked with @bart in Skype. He said, that the problem is because of my computer, but not webflow. He did something and now palette sometimes opens after three clicks on the icon, but not always.

I’ve ran adwcleaner app to clear browser from malicious software and I’ve asked to close all open apps and tabs so we have maximum ram/cpu for Webflow. After that process browser started to “recognize” multiple clicks on Webflow. Not sure what was the exact problem, but above steps seemed to help.

I also spoke Russian and it was fun :stuck_out_tongue:
