Adding assets to a CMS dynamic field

Hi

I was creating a CMS collection with the intent to use an image already uploaded to an assets folder I have. Is there a way to have a CMS field like images select from Assets instead of reuploading it from my local computer?

Nope. Webflow does not support it at this time.

Are there any updates on this features? It really feels like it should be part of the basic functionality… What’s the point of the assets folder if it can’t be used in CMS too?

Every other platform has this and has had it for years. Come on Webflow!

No, and the best place to stay updated is Webflow’s update page or the University.

Came here looking for the same feature.

This disconnect between stored assets and content management means I cannot create a pool of assets for content editors to use. Instead they have to have all assets they may need, already on their workstation or mobile devices, before they can publish articles.

There’s also no opportunity to cache and reuse assets. I’ve never seen a structure like this before in a modern CMS.

I’ve only just started using Webflow and my confidence in the platform is already wavering. :frowning:

Edit: You can vote to have this (c.2017) issue fixed, here Ability to add images to the CMS from the Asset | Webflow Wishlist
