3D product configurator for houses

Hi community,

I’m looking for a software solution or an expert to hire who can help me with the following:

My client builds prefab flat-roof bungalows that can be configured in various ways using different modules. They would like to have this functionality on their website — a configurator that allows users to design their house by dragging and dropping room elements. Including a 3D view and a price calculator.

Does anyone know a way to implement something like this? Is there an existing software solution for this? Do you have any experience with such projects?

I’m grateful for any tips!

Thanks and best regards,
Tobi

Hi Tobi,

While Webflow’s native features don’t directly support building a 3D house configurator, you have several options to implement this functionality. You can integrate third-party 3D visualization tools using custom code embeds or iframes. Popular solutions include Three.js, Babylon.js, or dedicated 3D configuration platforms that can be embedded into your Webflow site.

For the best results, consider using Webflow’s custom code capabilities to embed your chosen 3D solution, ensuring it works seamlessly with your site’s design. You can add custom JavaScript in the page settings or site-wide in the custom code section of your project settings.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.

Yes, it definitely needs to be a third party integration. It could be an existing tool or a custom solution made by a developer.

If someone could help me with this, feel free to comment or contact me!

Hi @TH77.
Josh with Foxy here. We don’t provide the visual designer technology, but our cart/checkout functionality can integrate with just about any plugin.

Foxy simply looks for the data you want sent to the cart once customer has configured their product: name, options, price, add-ons, file urls, etc.

General info can be found here: https://foxy.io/integrations/webflow/ Here to help if you have any questions: hello@foxy.io

Thanks,
Josh
