Why is the background white when I've set to transparent?

Okay! Got a question! I’m trying out Nelson’s page transition recently shown on YouTube and uses some code. I wanted to modify the location a bit and use it as part of my nav. Now my question!

I put this div in the header area under my nav and find that the header background remains white. I’ve set that color to transparent but it stays white! What’s up with that?

I can change that header to any other color except transparent! Looking forward to hearing the answer!

What color should your transparent element be? Your header is transparent, hence showing the white body behind it.

It is transparent. The body background is not. @vincent is fast!

What if it is too, do you see the inside of the computer behind then?

@vincent → On mine I see the diodes behind the display.
