Nav bar background is white when static but transparent on sticky

Ive watched several tutorials and I cant figure out why my sticky nav bar which is white is not holding the background white when I scroll down. Instead it becomes transparent. I have to be missing something easy. I created another nav bar in the past and it worked fine so Im not sure where I went wrong this time. Thanks!

You have to actually set the background color on this element here - just tried and it worked!
