Website Quote form generator

Hi,
I need a very niche method for creating a shop checkout process, but without the payment service.

For some context, I’m working for a client who sells expensive hardware. They don’t wish to ‘sell’ the hardware on their site; they want their clients to enquire separately for the products and then for them to email for a quote, etc.

This is currently done on his old website (see image)

As the user, you add the products to a ‘quote list’ and then email that quote list to receive the quote back. (See image)

So, for the new site I’m building, I need to either recreate this or think of a better method.

I know I can simply set up a form and then add checkboxes, etc., but it seems long-winded, and I want my client to handle most of the tasks after signing off the site (he wants to be more hands-on with the site’s administration).

Any ideas, please!

Hi @Adam_Telly.
Josh with Foxy here. What you’re after is possible with our seamless Webflow integration: https://foxy.io/integrations/webflow/

  • Manage products/options with Webflow CMS
  • Customers can browse site and add products to cart
  • Customer proceeds to checkout page and checks out without payment (collect what info you need from the customer)
  • Customer/quote info is emailed to the merchant, a copy is sent to the customer, etc.

Agh, forgot to click send.

Basically you need shopping cart functionality-
Add item, remove item, list items, etc.

I usually build carts custom for each client because the decisions are different both in the UX and in the cart capabilities- especially-

  • Business rules in the cart ( min, max, inventory caps, connected products, variants, notes… )
  • How / when / where the cart data is submitted
  • Security, reporting, etc.

You might look at Foxy, who has already replied :)
