Webflow secure form notifications

Hello, I have 2 questions:

  1. How safe are Webflow forms for a law firm? They really value security.

  2. How do I make it so that Webflow doesn’t email the form details to an email, but does notify when there is a new submission?

If you want to use Webflow’s default form handler, you can achieve that in the site-wide form setup. Just add a message to the body of the form notification, but no {{ }} embedded form data, and you’d receive only the message.

The above approach would keep the form contents out of emails [ good idea here ], but accessible in Webflow’s forms page. But it won’t look pretty or be convenient for the lawyers to access / read.

I’d probably go with a completely different approach- setup a custom form submission handler through something like Make, and push the data directly into a CRM.

A lot of people like Hubspot, if your client uses it, there are some form integration options through Webflow apps. Some have had difficulties taming them, but it’s another direction you could take.

One other option, more crude, is to use a 3rd party solution like Jotform. You won’t get the Webflow design control over the form, but the security is good, Jotform supports multistep forms, purchase, signatures, file uploads, and it’s HIPAA compliant so used in the medical industry for the capture of personal, confidential data.
