I just started receiving complaints from our China users that 2 of our websites on Webflow can no longer be accessed. Loading it from our end posses no issue. The weirdest part is that Staging URLs work without issues, reason being also due to the IP addresses for staging and production is different. Wondering if Webflow could help on this though I know support for China access is not officially provided.
Your sites may not be loading in China due to the “Great Firewall of China” which blocks many foreign websites and resources. While staging URLs might work temporarily, Webflow-hosted sites often face access restrictions in China.
To improve accessibility for your Chinese audience, you can:
Avoid using third-party integrations like Google Fonts, Google Maps, and social media embeds
Export your site and host it on a CDN in China with locally-loaded assets
Please note that due to OFAC sanctions, Webflow cannot host Enterprise websites from China (PRC).
Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
Production IP is likely being filtered in China, while staging loads because it’s on a different Webflow IP. Only reliable workaround is routing through a China-friendly edge (e.g., Cloudflare China Network).
