I am trying to use Webflow ecommerce to make a subscription-based product. The problem is when it comes to the use subscribing, they are forced to ‘create an account’ and go through that whole process when other stores create an account for the user at checkout.
How do I do what other stores do which is remove this step, but still have an accounts page for the person to manage their subscriptions. I wouldn’t mind having the subscriptions page not password protected so they could log in with just their email that they put in at checkout.
I am sure you would all know how annoying it is to have to go through the process of setting up an account when you are just trying to purchase something.
Sorry: I can’t share a read only link to the site.
Webflow Ecommerce requires customers to create an account before purchasing a subscription, but you can streamline the process by using a third-party tool like Memberstack or Outseta. These platforms allow automatic account creation at checkout while still providing a user dashboard for managing subscriptions. If you want a login-free subscription management page, consider using a magic link login (available in Memberstack) or a unique URL tied to the customer’s email for easy access. Since Webflow doesn’t natively support one-click account creation at checkout, integrating a tool like Stripe Billing with a Webflow front-end could also help achieve a smoother experience.
That said, with our seamless Webflow integration, you can sell any type of product, including subscriptions/memberships. Account is created at checkout (no additional steps needed).
In addition, you can embed a customer portal, paygate Webflow content, elements, and pages… and more. No need for Memberstack or any other third-party systems.
