Webflow built site hosted on squarespace domain

Hi all,

My wife bought a domain through squarespace. We’ve built the site here on webflow, but I can’t figure out how to get the site active. I’ve added the custom domains and verified them. I’ve gone to squarespace and added custom records in the DNS settings that webflow suggests using to resolve issues, although squarespace isn’t letting me add a CNAME record which I may have to contact their support to sort out.

The overall question is, is this even possible to run a webflow site on a domain owned on squarespace? I read something on here from '14 or '18 or something about having to unlock the squarespace domain and then repurchasing the domain through “godaddy” or the like. I don’t want to do that if avoidable.

I don’t use SS but you’d just want to check their docs.
If the domain is still connected to a previous squarespace site you may have to disconnect it first to allow your A and CNAME creation.
