Very slow load times and server dropouts from Sydney Australia

My Webflow designer and preview interfaces often take an unusual amount of time (20-30s) to load. And sometimes it seems like the connection has dropped out altogether. It’s not my internet connection because a speed test is showing 20mbps. It’s still hosted on the default free server, do I need to upgrade to get better load speeds? It’s affecting my ability to work on the site, and sometimes I’m making changes but they aren’t being saved, I assume because the connection has dropped out while I’m working. I have made updates and then seen it revert back to an earlier state, which is incredibly frustrating. Has anyone had this experience?

Speed

Speed is NO issue here but . . .
. . . at times when working in designer the browser (Safari) just freezes. Completely locks up! I have to force quick to browser that start over.

Other times, I can’t be working in the designer and have a image on the screen and without touching the mouse or the keyboard, the picture will just change size to more than full size then down to a tiny little icon size and then back to normal size.

I have a feeling that 20Mbps down isn’t enough for you at times.

Side note: I had the same issue with images shrinking and Webflow support told me it was it was because “Width” was set to Auto and “Max width” was set to 100%. They told me to put a value in “Width” which I set to 100% and that fixed it.

Hey Jye, have you tested on another device using the same connection? I only mention this having experienced the same issue for a few months… I was cursing Webflow the whole time, but it turned out to be my CPU & motherboard dying :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Xfinity (Denver area)
I remember (going back years) to having 30 then 60 then 90 then 300 then 600Mbps plans. Now I have a 1Gbps plan. If I connect via ethernet cable I get 900+Mbps down.
WiFi here is a bit slower (usually just shy of 500Mbps) because there are 28 wifi connections to the router. 2 iMacs, 2 iPads, 5 iPhones, 2 Apple Watches, 2 gaming computers, many Home Kit smart devices, a Tesla auto plus Tesla solar panels and a Tesla Power wall. All using bandwidth.

I can barley work in Webflow this week. All sites are very flakey in design mode, both myself and others are suffering the same issue. Super slow. I can’t do my job right now.

I’m experiencing the same issue, connection keeps dropping out and reload takes 3x 4x sometimes 10x the usual and not getting any feedbacks
