Variable color issues

Started using variables and noticed that some of the colors that are showing on the live site is completely wrong.

This is the color hex on the live site:

In Webflow designer - this is the hex I have and it’s not the same as the one that is live in the above screenshot.

It’s like it’s pulling from Webflow’s :root:not(.w-editor) set colors and not the one that is implemented through variables… and only some colors. I wanted to see if anyone else is having this same issue. I’ve reached out to support but haven’t heard anything from them.

I’m experiencing the exact same thing. And for me it seems to happen only when publishing to production, not staging.

Hope someone knows about it and can help find a fix!

I had the same issue in a project. A light blue that I gave the name Blue 200 (webflow created a variable called var(–blue-200)) was overridden to a dark blue. Changing the name of the Variable to something more specific helped in that case. But not sure if thats a long term fix.

I ended up renaming the ones I saw impacted for now. Webflow hasn’t let me know if it has been fixed yet and I didn’t want to wait around since the colors were drastically different.
